Bico Stupakoff is a photographer, cinematographer and artist who is known for capturing lifestyle imagery and natural beauty subjects.
His interest in photography began at an early age in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Inspired by his father renowned fashion and portrait photographer Otto Stupakoff. He started to photograph for editorial magazines as a sports photographer in Rio de Janeiro at the age of 18. In 1981 he moved to NYC. After a period of assisting Bert Stern, Bruce Weber, Dominque Isserman and Frank Horvath he started to shoot his own fashion editorial, catalogue, and advertising campaigns.
His editorial work has appeared in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, W, Glamour, Allure, ELLE, Rolling Stone, Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, Playboy, Grazia, Marie Claire. Catalogue clients included Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor, Eddie Bauer, Talbots, Phillips, Sony and J. Crew. He has photographed national campaigns for GAP, Maybelline, Lee Jeans, and Avon.
Bico Stupakoff is also a recipient of numerous awards for his photography such as an Excellency Award a Merit Award from The Art Directors Club of America, Conde Nast Creativity Award and The Silver Award for Warner Bros.
His passion for race car driving has led him to publish a book "The Colorful Side of Racing". He is currently working on new book called "The Surfer" and other cinematography projects.
